I had to do it. It was hurting me too much, so rather than wait another 10 days or so.....yesterday I went for the $5 solution and made an ultrasound guided incision and took out the offending ectopic bone that was sitting just off the lateral joint line of my knee. Before and after Xrays in the comments below. The ossified piece was wrecking havoc with my ITB and likely with my biceps femoris attachments. I was having significant pain with any physical activity and with knee flexion. That pain is already gone. I would have used Tenex-Bone and that is the smart thing to do I think!
