Lower Trapezius Tendon Transfer

by Brian L. Badman, MD | 6 years ago

Lower trapezius tendon transfer is indicated for patients with a massive rotator cuff tear and loss of external rotation strength of their arm. Patients are unable to control their arm in the horizontal plane and cannot maintain their arm in the position of a throwing motion.

Will you get your motion back after surgery for a dislocating shoulder? The answer is....Yes!

Of course results vary based on the actual injuries and surgeries done, but over the last 25 years..
