Meniscal Repair

by Curtis Bush, M.D. | 10 years ago

A meniscal tear occurs in the meniscus which is located in the knee, between the femur or the thighbone, and the tibia or shinbone. The meniscus helps to cushion the joint and keeps it stable. In this procedure, the meniscal tear is repaired using surgical implants with sutures.
