MoraMD:Repair of a torn quadriceps tendon of the thigh: Steve Mora MD

by Stephen Thon, MD | 6 years ago

Repair of a torn quadriceps tendon of the thigh is necessary to restore the extensor mechanism of the knee. In this case I discuss and show how the tendon is surgically repaired back to the bony patella in a high level athlete. The extensor mechanism (quadriceps, patella and patella tendon) of the knee is critical for mobility and power.
