In March 2008, Derek McMinn assembled his surgical team and they travelled to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to participate in Operation Walk. Operation Walk is a non-profit organisation that provides hip and knee replacement for patients suffering from arthritis or traumatic injuries in developing countries.
