Distal Biceps repair is straightforward provided that the tear is recognized and operated on soon after injury. Minimal dissection is needed in a fresh injury to retrieve the biceps and expose the bicipital tuberosity on the radius. Delayed surgery can result in more difficult exposure, risk to the PIN, and need for allograft.
