Stem Cells for ACL tear:: 14 yr old 6 months s/p treatment

Sub Specilaties : 1 Knee, 1 Stem Cells

by Don Buford, M.D. | 9 years ago

Our patient is now nearly 6 months out. He had a arthroscopic guided ACL injection with bone marrow derived stem cells. He also had a nondisplaced posterior horn medial meniscus tear treated with a stem cell injection. He had a grade 3 very displaced MCL tear which was surgically repaired. He is now playing hoops and soccer with no symptoms. Lachman has an enpoint similar to a postsurgical knee and there is no pivot shift. So far so good, results can always vary!
