As doctors, we talk endlessly about inflammation, medications, and colonoscopy results — but not enough about diet. And yet, for most of my IBD patients, it’s one of the first and most important questions: “Doctor, what can I actually eat?” I’ll be honest — even after years of practice in London and now here in Dubai, I’m sometimes guilty of not giving this topic enough time in clinic. But I always try to discuss it, because what patients eat makes a huge difference to how they feel and recover.
