What is a Labral Tear? | Braden Mayer MD, Orthopedic Surgeon | UCHealth

A labral tear involves a tear of the labrum of the shoulder. The labrum is a bumper, or a gasket seal, around the shoulder joint that deepens the socket to provide stability.
