His early medical experience began when he obtained a certificate in Sports Medicine from San Bernardino Valley College in San Bernardino. While working as a student trainer he gained experience in the treatment of athletes in all sports. Later he went on and became an assistant to the head trainer of the San Bernardino Spirit Single A professional baseball
